Fleet EForce Adds Former RTD Maintenance Leader to Leadership Team
Longmont, CO — 08/18/26 — Fleet EForce Inc. has reached an important milestone in its growth with the appointment of Sangman Yoon as the company’s new Operations Director.
Over the past two years, Fleet EForce has grown from a startup into one of North America’s leading providers of aftermarket support for commercial electric vehicles. With a rapidly expanding customer base, nationwide field service operations, growing inventory, and increasingly sophisticated supply chain requirements, the company has reached the point where its operations demand dedicated executive leadership.
Fleet EForce found that leader in Sangman Yoon, who joins the company after serving as General Superintendent of Maintenance at Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD). In that role, Sangman led one of the largest transit maintenance organizations in the Rocky Mountain region, overseeing hundreds of maintenance professionals responsible for keeping RTD’s fleet operating safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Just as importantly, Sangman represents exactly the type of customer Fleet EForce serves today. Having spent his career responsible for fleet availability, maintenance budgets, parts procurement, and supplier performance, he brings an invaluable understanding of the operational challenges facing transit agencies. That customer perspective will help shape every aspect of Fleet EForce’s operations as the company continues its national expansion.
As Operations Director, Sangman will oversee Fleet EForce’s supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, and operational systems while helping build the infrastructure required to support the company’s continued growth.
“After years managing large teams in large organizations, I was ready for a more entrepreneurial challenge with the opportunity to truly build rather than simply manage,” said Sangman Yoon. “I’ve spent my career on the customer side of the table, relying on suppliers to keep fleets operating safely and reliably. That experience has given me a clear understanding of what fleet operators value most—technical expertise, responsiveness, and partners who do what they say they will do. Fleet EForce has assembled an outstanding team with an ambitious vision, and I’m excited to help build the operational foundation that supports the company’s next stage of growth.”
“We honestly still don’t know how we were fortunate enough to attract someone with Sangman’s experience,” said Ben Schroder, COO of Fleet EForce. “As General Superintendent of Maintenance at RTD, Sangman was effectively the highest-ranking transit maintenance executive in Colorado. He wasn’t just leading one of the region’s largest maintenance organizations—he was the type of customer Fleet EForce has been working to serve since day one. He understands what keeps fleet maintenance managers awake at night because he’s lived it. That combination of operational leadership and customer insight is incredibly rare, and it will help take Fleet EForce to the next level.”
Robert Fenwick-Smith, CEO of Fleet EForce, added, “One of our core philosophies has always been to hire people who are better than ourselves in their areas of expertise. Sangman exemplifies that philosophy. Every successful company eventually reaches the point where experience becomes one of its greatest competitive advantages. Bringing someone of Sangman’s caliber onto our leadership team is another significant step in Fleet EForce’s evolution from an ambitious startup into a mature, industry-leading organization.”
Sangman’s appointment reflects Fleet EForce’s continued investment in building the strongest leadership team in the commercial EV aftermarket. Since its founding in 2024, the company has expanded its nationwide technician network, opened facilities in Colorado and California, invested millions of dollars in parts inventory, established strategic partnerships with leading OEMs and component manufacturers, and now supports transit agencies and commercial fleet operators throughout the United States and Canada.
